The HUMMS strand is designed for those who wonder what is on the other side of the wall. In other words, you are ready to take on the world and talk to a lot of people. This is for those who are considering taking up journalism, communication arts, liberal arts, education, and other social science-related courses in college.

Hi! I'm an incoming Gr.11 this school year and I want to share and open up about my excitement and fears of finally being a Senior High School student. To be honest HUMSS was not my first option, STEM was. But as I think about it HUMSS was an interesting strand and I think I fit the HUMSS strand. I am not really shy when I'm with people but I tend to avoid people for some reasons. Anyway, since elementary I engage on public speaking which was a great help to improve my skills. I am known as someone who can be confident in English subject. I am also confident on my writing skills but sometimes I ask myself, "will this all be enough?". I feel burdened because I know that my teachers are indirectly setting standards and are full of expectations. Pressured ako pero what can I do? This is the harsh part of my life and I think I'm not getting out of it. I aspire to work in the field of psychology and I have decided to be a psychometrician. Of course it was not easy to decide at first because I take into consideration if this course will be indemand. My passion and the job offers were always conflicting my decision. Now that I know what path to take, I became more interested this school year. Sabi nila pag HUMSS ang kukunin mong strand pabida na kung pabida, HUMSS student eh. So be it, I am ready na magpaka "SISA" para sa strand na to.
